Police bodycam footage of prominent YouTuber PopularMMOs’ arrest has been released to the public as law enforcement hunt the content creator for reportedly violating his parole.
PopularMMOs, real name Patrick ‘Pat’ Julianelle, is a YouTuber with over 17 million subscribers who regularly posted gaming content, particularly about Minecraft, until 2023.
On November 20, 2024, Julianelle pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer — an offense that was captured on bodycam footage that has now been released to the public six months later.
In the video, retrieved and published by YouTube channel EWU Bodycam on May 28, 2025, Julianelle could be seen sleeping on the sidewalk beneath a street light as officers approached him in response to a wellness check.
PopularMMOs is a well-known YouTuber who has been arrested multiple times since 2021. He stopped posting to social media in 2023.

The 35-year-old YouTuber admitted that he’d had “too much” to drink that night and apologized to the officers for their trouble, who urged him to call a friend to come get him, noting that he was over 20 minutes away from his home address.
Officers allowed him to sit in a cruiser to get out of the chilly 45F weather while his phone charged, taking the opportunity to search his backpack. Inside, they discovered “weed and a ton of Fireball.” Recreational marijuana is illegal in the state of Florida, where the incident occurred.
When questioned about the jar of weed, Pat said authorities would have to “talk to his lawyer,” reiterating that he was too “drunk” to properly answer and claiming that he didn’t smoke. Officers then attempted to place him in handcuffs — something that sent the YouTuber into a panic.
Julianelle attempted to flee the scene, remarking that he was “tired of it all” as officers swiftly apprehended him, noting that he was “resisting with violence.”
Once the sergeant arrived to assess the scene, they determined that he would be charged with resisting with violence and possession of marijuana under 20 grams. “He can Minecraft that,” the sarge joked.
After taking a plea deal in November 2024, Pat was sentenced to 12 months probation and 100 hours of community service, as well as a mandatory substance abuse evaluation and follow-up treatment, as per court documents received by EWU Bodycam.
On top of that, the YouTuber was also ordered to donate $1,000 to the Police Memorial Foundation and write a letter of apology to the officer he’d assaulted during his arrest.
However, Pat was arrested for violation of his parole in February 2025 after a urine analysis tested positive for drug use in December 2024.
A warrant was issued for his arrest on May 12, 2025 on another violation of his probation due to a drug test that came back positive for marijuana and alcohol.
This is far from the first time Julianelle has been arrested. In 2022, Pat and two friends were taken into custody after one of them ran onto the field during a Jacksonville Jaguars football game. And in 2021, he was arrested on a charge for domestic battery, which was later dropped.
