Black Ops 6 Season 4 has brought the FFAR 1, a fan-favorite Assault Rifle that long-time Call of Duty players will be very familiar with.
A fully automatic version of the FAMAS that first appeared in BO3 and then returned in Cold War, the FFAR uses its “blazing fast fire rate” to rip through enemies in seconds, making it a dominant choice in BO6‘s multiplayer maps.
But it can be made even better with the meta attachments, so here’s everything you need to build the best FFAR loadout.
Meta FFAR 1 loadout attachments
- Optic: Kepler Microflex
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag 1
- Rear Grip: Commando Grip
The Best FFAR 1 loadout improves its mobility and gives it a cleaner iron sight, ensuring you can quickly move through Black Ops 6’s multiplayer maps.
The iron sight blocks a lot of the screen when aiming, so we recommend equipping the Kepler Microflex Optic, which is extremely clean.
Combining the Compensator and Ranger Foregrip will almost entirely remove any recoil, with the Foregrip also increasing sprint speed.
The Extended Mag I gives you 45 rounds in the mag so you can take down a couple more enemies before reloading, and finally, the Commando Grip vastly increases ADS and sprint-to-fire speed so you can quickly snap onto anyone in your way.
Best Perks & Equipment
- Perk 1: Gung-Ho
- Perk 2: Hunter’s Instinct
- Perk 3: Slipstream
- Perk Greed: Flak Jacket
- Wildcard: Perk Greed
- Tactical: Flashbang
- Lethal: Semtex
- Field Upgrade: Assault Pack
You’ll want to move around the map quickly with the FFAR 1, so we’ve equipped Perks to help you do that. Gung-Ho lets you reload while sprinting, which is extremely useful when trying to keep your momentum up.
Hunter’s Instinct is extremely useful for aggressive players as getting a kill will highlight the next closest enemy on the map, and Slipstream removes Tac Sprint while increasing your sprint speed, ensuring you’re always at the ready.
All three of these Perks combined give you the Enforcer Speciality, letting you temporarily move and heal faster after each kill. Then, with the Perk Greed Wildcard equipped, you should pick Flak Jacket as nobody wants their streak to end to a random grenade.
Flashbangs will blind the enemy to let you get a quick and easy kill, and Semtex is great for dealing some splash damage or securing a kill. Finally, the Assault Pack will keep your ammo topped up.
Is the FFAR 1 meta in Black Ops 6?
The FFAR 1 is strong in Black Ops 6, but it’s not quite a meta choice. It has a good TTK, but it can still be outgunned by the best weapons, and you’ll also find it slower than other meta options.
Like the HDR from Season 3, it’s much more suited to Warzone than to Black Ops 6’s multiplayer.
Pros and cons
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Good TTK | Can be outgunned by other meta weapons |
Easy to use | Slower than other meta weapons |
Forgiving fire rate | Ugly iron sights |
How to unlock FFAR 1
The FFAR 1 is unlocked through the Season 4 Battle Pass. You don’t have to pay anything, just play until you reach Page 6, and it’ll be in your hands.
It can be unlocked through The Armory once Season 4 is over, so don’t worry if you miss out on it this time.
