Following his demise, Steve’s household, together with his daughter Bindi, widow Terri, son Robert and son-in-law Chandler Powell, have continued his conservation work at Australia Zoo.

Bindi spoke about her father’s legacy throughout an interview in 2019.

‘He was the best wildlife warrior to have ever lived,’ she stated, including: ‘He devoted his complete life to defending wildlife and wild locations.
