Reporting to the Cybersecurity Specialist, Cybersecurity Program Management, the Cybersecurity Analyst, Reporting and Analytics is responsible for developing and maintaining cybersecurity reporting metrics, conducting data analysis, and providing insights to support informed decision-making and enhance KCB Group’s cybersecurity posture.
The role works closely with various teams within Group Cybersecurity as well as Enterprise Risk, Audit and technology to ensure data is well collected, analyzed, processed and reported to provide management insight into cybersecurity controls effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities; –
- Design, develop, and maintain cybersecurity reporting metrics and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and metrics related to cybersecurity operations, incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance.
- Identify and define cybersecurity data sources, harvest the data, structure and store the data in a central store for analytics, data mining, reporting and timely dashboards.
- Perform data analysis and interpretation to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that may indicate potential cybersecurity risks or threats.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to gather data and ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting metrics.
- Prepare and deliver regular and ad-hoc cybersecurity reports and presentations for senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to the development of Cyber Security Policies and Minimum-Security Configuration Baseline Standards in line with industry best practices and technologies commensurate with risk and regulatory requirements and implementing the same cost effectively.
- Provide cyber security related support to ICT projects and changes from inception through to successful implementation, to ensure cybersecurity reporting requirements are met before introduction to production environments.
- Provide input into Cyber Security risk and control self-assessments by leveraging knowledge in security and mitigating information and cyber risks identified by various assurance teams such as Information Risk and Audit.
- Provide tactical data analytics expertise across the various security domains as assigned from time to time.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in cybersecurity metrics, analytics, and reporting to continuously enhance reporting capabilities and methodologies.
The Person
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Telecommunications / Engineering (Electrical, Electronic) or related field.
- Professional qualification in Data analytics certifications such as SQL, Python, R, or other data analytics and visualizations tools such as Tableau, Power BI.
- Professional qualification in Information Security certification such as CISA / CISM/ CISSP/ Security+/, GSE/ GSEC/ CRISC/ SSCP is an added advantage.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or MSC is an added advantage.
- 2 years’ work experience in the same or related role, with at least: –
- 2 years’ experience in Cyber Security.
- 2 years’ experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
- 1-year experience in cybersecurity analytics, metrics reporting, or a related field.
- 1 Year experience in Banking industry is desired.
- 2 years’ experience in large busy technology environment t is desired.
