Brawl breaks out in the stands at Blue Jays vs. Guardians game as mom blames ‘drunk and belligerent’ fans: ‘I slammed a bowl of chicken nachos in her face and the fists flew’

The Guardians’ victory against the Blue Jays on Friday was marred by violence in the stands involving “drunk and belligerent fans” – and a bowl of nachos thrown in a woman’s face.

Footage has emerged on social media showing older fans arguing, throwing punches, tearing T-shirts and knocking a man to the ground.

Police officers were forced to intervene as other fans filmed the fight, which is said to have been sparked by one group of fans accusing another group of trying to get them kicked out of the game.

A mother involved in the scandal has now spoken out, claiming: ‘The only reason the argument started was because the couple behind us were drunk and combative.

Brandi Pierce said Surpass that her family left the stands in search of food because a group behind them wouldn’t stop screaming.

“As we returned to our seats, a police officer came down and told them to calm down or they would be removed,” she claimed.

According to Pierce, one of the group – a blonde lady – accused her stepdaughter of calling the police.

“It escalated quickly enough when she jumped on my stepdaughter (who wouldn’t hurt a fly) and threatened her while pulling the back of my shirt,” Pierce alleged. “So I threw a bowl of chicken nachos in her face and the fists flew.”

The footage shows Piece – dressed in a red top – punching the blonde lady, who falls to the ground before being picked up and taken away by a man. Moments later, another man confronts a gray-haired fan and knocks him to the ground.

“We didn’t want to fight,” Pierce added. “But my stepdaughter didn’t deserve to have a forty-year-old woman punch her in the face.”

The Guardians went on to win the game 7-1 in Toronto.
