Cab driver Victoria Mumbua Muloki, a 35-year-old mother of three, was brutally beaten and strangled to death, according to an autopsy report.

Dr. Johansen Oduor, who performed the autopsy, revealed that she was repeatedly struck with a blunt object before being strangled.

The report also showed clear signs that Victoria fought for her life, as she had defensive injuries on her hands, indicating she tried to defend herself from her attacker.

Victoria Mumbua Maloki: Last Ride

When Victoria Mumbua Muloki picked up Edwin Ng’etich in Mombasa on September 27, she had no idea it would be her last ride.

According to Ng’etich’s confession, once they were on the road, he viciously attacked her, striking her multiple times before tying her up in the back seat.

As they passed through Kibwezi, Victoria, terrified and pleading for her life, begged for mercy.

But instead of letting her go, Ng’etich coldly strangled her to death, and continued to drive with her lifeless in the car.

He eventually dumped her body in a remote thicket near Lari in Kiambu County, more than 400 kilometers away from Mombasa.

After disposing of her body, Ng’etich drove her car to Nakuru, where police later arrested him.

Victoria’s last contact was when she was driving through Samburu, Kwale County, about 66 kilometers from Mombasa.

Her family reported her missing to Makupa Police Station after she didn’t come home. Two days later, her body was found, far from where she had disappeared.

Is Edward Ng’etich New to Crime?

Ng’etich is not new to violence. He is linked to other violent crimes, including the 2014 murder of another taxi driver, George Njuguna, and faces multiple robbery with violence charges. Authorities believe he has a history of abducting taxi drivers to steal their vehicles, which he then allegedly used for transporting drugs and human trafficking.

As the investigation deepens, detectives are retracing Ng’etich’s movements to gather more evidence and piece together what led to Victoria’s death. They’re also conducting further tests on her body to rule out any poisoning or sexual assault.

Victoria had built a reputation for herself in the male-dominated taxi business. Her family is now left shattered by her brutal death.

Police suspect her car was the motive for the murder. “This suspect appears to be targeting taxi drivers, and we’re finding more links,” said an officer familiar with the case.

The investigation is ongoing, as police work to connect all the dots in what is shaping up to be a chilling series of crimes.
