Andressa de Faveri Urach, born on October 11, 1987, in Ijuí, Brazil, is a Brazilian model, businesswoman, and reality television personality who rose to fame as a contestant on the sixth season of the Brazilian version of The Farm (A Fazenda). Despite her initial pursuit of a business administration degree, Urach ultimately chose to follow her passion for modeling and dancing, a decision that would lead her to the heights of reality TV stardom.

Growing up in the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul state, Urach’s early life was marked by her studies in business administration. However, her true calling lay elsewhere, as she soon discovered her love for modeling and dancing. In 2011, Urach represented the soccer club Internacional de Porto Alegre in the “Musa do Brasileirão” contest, organized by Globo Esporte, Rede Globo’s sporting branch. This early foray into the world of entertainment would serve as a stepping stone to her future success.

Urach’s rise to fame came in 2013 when she was officially announced as one of the sixteen celebrity contestants on the sixth season of A Fazenda, the Brazilian version of the reality series The Farm. During her time on the show, Urach made a lasting impression, equaling the record for most times being the Farmer of the Week, which is three times in a single season. This impressive feat tied her with Sérgio Abreu, the runner-up of the third season, and Joana Machado, the winner of the fourth season. Urach also holds the record, along with fifth season competitor Robertha Portella, for the longest period without going to a hot seat in the show, 12 weeks.

Despite her success on the show, Urach’s journey was not without its challenges. She was considered one of the most controversial contestants in the show’s history, alongside Théo Becker from the first season, Nicole Bahls and Gretchen from the fifth season, and her fellow competitors from the same season, Denise Rocha and Lu Schievano. However, Urach’s resilience and determination shone through, as she navigated the ups and downs of reality TV fame.

On September 15, 2013, after 85 days on the show, Urach was finally evicted, finishing in seventh place overall. Her elimination came in a contest with the eventual winner, Bárbara Evans, and runner-up, Denise Rocha. While her time on the show may have come to an end, Urach’s impact on the Brazilian reality TV landscape was undeniable.

Beyond her success on A Fazenda, Urach has also made headlines for her personal life. In January 2016, she stated in an interview that she had become a born-again Protestant and a follower of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God. This spiritual transformation marked a significant shift in Urach’s life, as she dedicated herself to regaining the love and respect of her 11-year-old son, Arthur.

Urach’s journey has been chronicled in her book, “Morri para Viver – Meu submundo de fama, drogas e prostituição” (I died so I could live – My underworld of fame, drugs, and prostitution), in which she shares her experiences and the lessons she has learned along the way. Her story serves as a testament to the power of resilience and the ability to overcome adversity.
