Andy Cohen appeared visibly upset after Jeff Lewis was hit in the head while playing a game on his late night talk show Watch What Happens Live.
In a clip uploaded to WWHL’s official Instagram on Tuesday night, the 56-year-old host can be seen not remembering who the “very first” guest to argue for the fifth was on his show.
“Oh my God, I have no idea,” he told Real Housewives of Dubai’s Caroline Stanbury, who popped the question.
As punishment for confusing the question, Cohen instructs 54-year-old Lewis to hit him on the head with a bottle made of prop glass.
Before Lewis even touches Cohen, he apologizes, but is eventually called out by the producer, who insists the punch “was too much.”

In response, Lewis replies, “Okay, I’m sorry.”
Cohen then reminds him, “We were talking earlier about not messing with each other!”

Over the years, the two have publicly butted heads, including when Lewis accused Lewis of voting “against” him to cancel his HGTV series Flipping Out.

“I was there 11 years before you fired me,” the interior designer, originally from Orange County, recalled.
Cohen responded that he had not gotten him fired and “was not responsible for programming at Bravo at the time.”
“But you voted against me,” Lewis said. “But whatever, it doesn’t matter.”
Cohen, who seemed irritated, clarified, “You asked me if I voted against you, and I said, ‘I thought it was time to end Flipping Out.’

Cohen responded that he did not get him fired and “was not responsible for programming at Bravo at the time.”
Lewis concluded the speech by thanking Cohen for giving him “radio” that he “loves so much.”
In 2018, Lewis, who hosts a radio show on Andy’s Sirius XM network, claimed that Cohen lost patience with him after he shared a shady post about Bravo failing to renew Flipping Out.
Lewis said on his show at the time that they have a “brother-brother-like relationship.”
“Normally I would never read his lines on air, but the reason I would read this is because he changed his strategy with me,” he said. ‘I think when it happened yesterday he was thinking, ‘I’m not going to reach him by shouting at him. I don’t reach him by writing nasty, threatening text messages. I’m going to try a different strategy. .’”
In a text purportedly from Cohen, Lewis claimed the media mogul criticized him for “defaming the network” with his social media post.
Lewis wrote back that he was not trying to defame the network, but was “letting competitors know” that he was “a free agent.”
