Sheila Thompson was born on April 9, 1961, in Saginaw, Michigan. She was the daughter of Sydney Sullivan and Shirley (Washburn) Hicks. Growing up in a family with strong roots in Michigan, Sheila was known for her vibrant personality and her love for life. She had a close bond with her family, which included her parents and her siblings. Sheila’s upbringing in Saginaw played a significant role in shaping her character and values.

Her love for nature was evident in her beautiful hanging baskets of flowers, which she tended to with great care. This connection to nature continued throughout her life, as she often spent time outdoors, enjoying the simple pleasures it offered.

She was known for her cheerful demeanor and her ability to make friends easily. After completing her education, Sheila began her career in management. She took on a position at Speedway in Hillsboro, Ohio, where she became a respected manager. Sheila’s professional life was marked by her dedication and commitment to her job, which she balanced with her family life.

She was an active member of the Hillsboro Eagles Aerie #1161, where she enjoyed participating in community events and gatherings. Tragically, Sheila’s life came to an end on July 5, 2024, at the age of 63, when she passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital. Her family was by her side during her final moments, a testament to the strong bonds she had cultivated throughout her life. Sheila’s passing was a significant loss to her family and friends, who remembered her for her kindness, generosity, and infectious spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Thompson, her mother, Shirley Hicks, and her six children: Liam Shaw, Jayse Shaw, Scott (Ted) Thompson, Danny (Tracy) Coley, Cathy Shaw, and Anthony “TJ” (Shae) Shaw. Additionally, she is remembered by her siblings, Sharon Craver, Stan Sullivan, Sue Bere, Stewart Sullivan, and Sandra Sullivan, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In conclusion, Sheila Thompson was a remarkable woman who lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to her family and community. Her passion for life and her ability to connect with others left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
