David Beckham will attend the funeral of former England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson with his wife Victoria. The couple will land in Sweden on Thursday by private jet, according to AD.
Eriksson passed away on August 26 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Since then, numerous tributes have been paid to the Swede, including from football clubs around the world.
The former England manager announced in January that he had just one year to live after his diagnosis. He passed away just over two weeks ago, surrounded by his family.

Eriksson, who dies at the age of 76, will be buried in Torsby, where he grew up, but the ceremony will differ from traditional funerals in the region.
According to Swedish outlet Expressen, Eriksson’s agent Bo Gustavsson said the former Lazio and Sampdoria manager wanted an Italian-style funeral.
According to the report, Eriksson’s experience at the funeral of Samp chairman Paolo Mantovani, who died during his time at the club between 1992 and 1997, made an impression on him.
