Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed the death of their Under 19 head coach Helge Rasche.
The 33-year-old player died in a car accident on Thursday. The Bundesliga club confirmed the news, which was published by German media this morning.
In a statement on social media, the club wrote: ‘Eintracht Frankfurt is shocked by the loss of U19 coach Helge Rasche.
‘The 33-year-old died yesterday in a traffic accident. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.’
German rivals Borussia Dortmund responded to the news with the following words: ‘We also mourn the loss of Helge Rasche and would like to express our deepest condolences.

BILD report that Rasche was driving a white Hyundai on a road between Dietzenbach and Rodgau, southwest of Frankfurt.
The publication states that his car left the road at an intersection with a gravel road and crashed into a tree.
Photos obtained by BILD show that the Hyundai was a total loss after the accident, with a collapsed front end.
He reportedly died at the scene of the accident and was seriously injured.
Frankfurt’s players were informed of Rasche’s death on Thursday.
Rasche joined Eintracht’s youth academy in 2020. In 2023, he was promoted to under-17 coach and then under-19 coach in the youth league.
This season he was sidelined for five games in the U19 youth competition (group D), where they finished second with 10 points.
Rasche prepared his team for the home game against Darmstadt 98 on September 14.
