Donald Trump accused Kamala Harris of lying about her work at McDonald’s, a claim that has sparked endless speculation.
Speaking at the Moms for Liberty convention in Washington on Friday, Trump expressed skepticism about this passage from Harris’ biography, in which she proclaims her middle-class background.
“She also said, ‘I worked at McDonald’s.’ Turns out she didn’t work at McDonald’s at all,” the former president told the crowd.
“Did anyone see that?” he continued. “After a thorough investigation that took about 20 minutes, they found out she never worked there.”

Trump’s comments come as questions mount over Harris’ claims.
In April, Harris appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show, where she was asked if she worked at the fast food restaurant.
“I did. Yeah, I worked at McDonald’s,” the vice president said. “When I was in school … I did French fries. And then I worked the cash register.”
Harris reportedly worked at a franchise in California’s Bay Area the summer after her freshman year at Howard University.
However, she did not mention this biographical detail until she ran for president five years ago.
When the future vice president spoke at a labor rally in Las Vegas in 2019, she first referenced her time at the Golden Arches.
“I worked at McDonald’s,” she told the crowd. “I was a student when I worked at McDonald’s.”
Some were skeptical of the claim from the start, noting that Harris had never previously discussed it during her campaign or in her two memoirs.

“You know Vice President Harris grew up in a middle-class family and worked shifts at McDonald’s as a college student,” Governor Walz said at the AFSCME conference.
“I keep asking this to create a contrast here,” he continued. “Can you just imagine Donald Trump working at a McDonald’s and trying to make a McFlurry or something.”
