West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse is reportedly set to join Nottingham Forest on loan.

The England international joined from Southampton last summer for £30million and made 52 appearances, scoring seven goals.

However, he played just 16 minutes under new head coach Julen Lopetegui, having come on as a substitute in the opening defeat to Aston Villa.

Ward-Prowse now looks set to move down the pecking order as a loan deal between West Ham and Forest has been finalised, according to The Athletics.

West Ham have already strengthened their midfield this summer with the arrival of Guido Rodriguez from Real Betis.

According to the same publication, the East London club is in talks with PSG over a transfer of Spanish midfielder Carlos Soler.

Ward-Prowse would become Forest’s tenth summer signing, along with midfielders Elliot Anderson and Marko Stamenic.

Despite playing regularly last season, Ward-Prowse failed to add to his 11 England caps this summer, missing out on a place in the squad for Euro 2024.
