MORARA KEBASO CLASHES WITH HUSSEIN MOHAMMED ON JKL AFTER CLAIMING RUTO OFFERED HIM STATE JOB

There was drama on Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) show on Wednesday evening, August 28, when State House spokesperson Hussein Mohamed clashed with activist Morara Kebaso over claims that President William Ruto called Kebaso with a job offer.

Morara Kebaso is a businessman who has been doing the Lord’s work by touring the country to expose stalled development projects launched by the president.

And he claimed during the show that he had been approached by the government and was offered lucrative state positions.

“I got calls from people around the president, then; eventually, I got a call from the president. I spoke to him very respectfully because he is our president. He has been given that mandate by the people. Whatever I was offered, I refused,” Kebaso said.

“Being a brilliant person and a person of integrity, I believe that if I go into government, I am going there to be corrupt. There is too much demand for you to steal money and give it to certain people. I’ll be depressed working there; I would rather stay at my furniture shop and do my business.”

Hussein Mohammed Confronts Morara Kebaso

Hussein Mohamed called into the show to confront Kebaso, dismissing the activist’s claims as false.

“It is unbelievable. I was not following, but I was told about it. I am just shocked at what the gentleman Morara is saying. I wonder why he would lie on national TV that the president called him…for the record, such a call never happened, it is a figment of an imagination,” Hussein said.

Despite Hussein’s denial, Kebaso stood his ground, stating that he would seek to obtain his call records to prove his claims.

“I spoke to him very respectfully because he is our president,” Kebaso reiterated.

He added that he would continue to hold the government accountable for stalled projects.

This is not the first clash between the two.

Earlier this month, they argued over Kebaso’s claims that President Ruto had relaunched a road project initially laid out in 2016 by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Hussein defended the president’s actions, explaining that the project had been re-tendered in 2024, and Ruto’s involvement was part of fulfilling his commitment to complete unfinished works.
