A pilot has lost their life following a plane crash during take-off at Defford Croft Farm airfield near Worcester.
The incident triggered a major emergency response, with multiple fire crews arriving at the rural Worcestershire site just before 11am.
The aircraft encountered problems during take-off, causing it to plummet rapidly, according to police reports.
The pilot was declared dead at the scene, with no other injuries reported.

The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) has launched an inquiry into the crash. Inspectors have been dispatched to the site to collect evidence.
Police detailed that they received a call at 10.45am about a small plane facing difficulties during take-off, resulting in a rapid descent.
Fire crews from Pershore, Upton upon Severn, Malvern, Droitwich, Ledbury, Wyre Forest, and Peterchurch attended the scene, according to the fire service.
A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service stated that a paramedic officer, an ambulance, and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford responded. Unfortunately, it was evident that nothing could be done to save the sole occupant, who was pronounced dead on scene by ambulance staff.
