Youth unemployment is a key contributor to the challenges currently facing the young people in the country and Murang’a County in particular.
To address this unique challenge affecting the youth in Murang’a County, the county government has initiated the Muranga County Youth Service (MYS) program that intends to offer a work study programme and targeted short courses to the youth in Murang’a County for a period of two Months.
After the programme and short courses training, successful youths will be issued with a small grant/loan as capital for self-employment.
Participants in the Murang’a Youth Service program must be between 18-35 years old and possess a valid national ID.
