Moment Mercedes driver pulls gun on unsuspecting motorist during road rage attack in ‘exclusive’ neighborhood

  • Paul Slane, 63, was caught on camera pointing a gun at another motorist
  • Apparently he followed the victims into the community and provoked them

A Mercedes driver was caught on camera pointing a gun at an unsuspecting motorist during a road rage incident in an “exclusive” neighborhood.

Paul Slane, 63, is also accused of assaulting the victim’s passenger and taking her cellphone during the rampage in the “exclusive” Heatherwood neighborhood of Port St. Lucie, Florida, on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. according to Miami Herald.

A subsequent investigation revealed that Slane followed the victims into the gated residential area and provoked the other driver before pointing his weapon at the driver and his passenger.

But the victim also had a gun and asked, “Should I shoot him?” video obtained by WFLA shows.

“The suspect in the black Mercedes was constantly checking on them for whatever reason,” Sgt. Dominick Mesiti told the news station.

“He braked on purpose… for no reason other than to disrupt the vehicle behind him or the driver behind him.”

Slane then allegedly drove his Mercedes around the victims’ truck and came to a stop in front of them on the road.

At that point, Slane was caught getting out of his car with the victim’s phone and walking toward the driver with his gun at the ready.

The suspect then began arguing with the other driver about who had started the fight. He reached through his window and demanded that his passenger give him her phone.

“Get the fuck out of that car now,” Slane could be heard screaming in the video.

“You’re getting arrested, you know that, right?” one of the victims was heard saying to Slane, after which Slane got back into his car.

As he walked away, the driver was heard saying, “We confirm that his vehicle was also completely destroyed.”

Slane was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, robbery with a firearm and two counts of simple assault
