Sabrina Carpenter called Barry Keoghan a “wonderful actor” amid rumors that the stars had ended their relationship.
The 25-year-old Espresso singer, who recently opened up about how she fell in love after claiming to have broken up with the 31-year-old Saltburn actor, also released her anticipated sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet, on Friday.
During an interview with The guardthe star spoke briefly about Keoghan – shortly after it was revealed that the pair’s romance is reportedly ‘on and off’.
In June, Barry appeared in the music video for Please Please Please, in which she reflected on working with the Irish-born star.
Carpenter said it was “one of the best experiences I’ve ever had,” but added, “I feel very honored and fortunate to have worked with such an amazing actor!”

She then joked about her own “hidden diplomacy,” repeating in a nasal voice, “What a great actress!”
On the subject of her private life being so much in the spotlight and living in an age where social media plays a huge role, Sabrina admits: ‘It’s not what I signed up for, but there’s not really anything I can do about it when I’m born.’

The Sue Me singer previously spoke openly about Keoghan making a cameo in her music video for Please Please Please during a conversation with Variety earlier this month.
“He loved the song. He’s obsessed with the lyrics, and I’m so grateful for that,” she told the publication.
“I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation. So seeing him on screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and more special.”
And while the beauty kept the details of their romance under wraps, she also said: ‘Barry is a Libra, and so is my sister. They are very different, but they have similarities. I tend to lean towards Leos too.’
Carpenter and Keoghan first sparked relationship rumors in late December last year when the two were spotted together in Los Angeles.

Later that same month, the actor helped organize a party for Sabrina in honor of her 25th birthday.
In June, during an interview with Rolling Stone and replied, “How can I avoid this question?”

Carpenter recently spoke about her tendency to fall in love quickly when she appeared on TV Amelia Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop date on friday.
At one point, Amelia asked, “Do you fall in love easily?” To which Sabrina replied, “What a question, you’re asking me in this chicken shop?”
“When I was younger, I fell in love very easily and now I fall in love a little more… I don’t want this to sound sad, but maybe I’ll fall in love now that I know more,” the beauty added.
