A mother has killed her son and injured two others in a horrific car crash, allegedly caused by driving on the wrong side of the road while under the influence of drugs.
Kerri Bedrick, 32, was charged with driving under the influence, among a long list of other offenses after she walked away from the wreck on Long Island.
Her nine-year-old son Eli Henrys was strapped into the backseat and died before reaching the hospital Thursday morning.
Bedrick was speeding the wrong way on the Southern State Parkway in Bay Shore when police tried to pull her over, but she refused to stop, police said.

Her 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SUV collided head-on with another car around 2:20 a.m., sending her car’s engine into nearby trees.
Two more cars were involved in the pileup, which injured two other drivers: Haydee Meyer, 29, and David Picard, 24. The third was not injured.
Bedrick was injured, but his life was not in danger. He was standing outside the car when the police arrived and he was taken to the hospital.
She was led from the hospital in handcuffs by Suffolk County officers, appearing sleepy and disheveled.
Police charged her with driving under the influence, driving under the influence of drugs, driving under the influence with a passenger under the age of 16, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of stimulants.

Bedrick was led from the hospital in handcuffs, looking lethargic and disheveled, by Suffolk County deputies
Bedrick has not yet been charged in Eli’s death. DailyMail.com asked the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office if the charge would be upgraded.
“The police did everything they could to save the boy’s life and this was a traumatic experience for everyone involved,” said Major Stephen Udice of the New York State Police.
‘To give you an idea of the severity of the impact, the engine of the wrong-way vehicle was thrown from that vehicle into the woods some distance from the scene of the collision.’
Diane Bedrick’s mother says the suspect, who was under the influence of drugs, had been struggling with medical problems in recent months and was taking prescription medications.
‘[Eli] was such a sweet boy and had a long life ahead of him. She adored him and he was everything to her,’ she said News Day.
“We both love them and we’re trying to get through this.”
Bedrick will appear in court on Friday.
