CPHRM Hiring Accounts Assistant

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records through daily bookkeeping and data entry.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts on time.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and expense analyses.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain and update the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
  • Assist with tax filings, statutory payments (NSSF, NHIF, Housing Levy, PAYE), and ensuring compliance.
  • Handle queries related to financial transactions and liaise with suppliers and clients as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Must have scored B plain and above in their KCSE
  • At least 2 years of work experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant professional qualifications like CPA and ACCA will be an added advantage.
