Dad at 21: Terence Creative shares lessons learned as young father

Comedian and digital content creator Lawrence Macharia, alias Terence Creative, highlights valuable lessons he learned from being a young parent.

While reminiscing about his experience as a young dad, Terence took to his Instagram page on Thursday, August 22, 2024, and disclosed that parenting at a tender age has taught him how to control his emotions, deal with stress, and handle difficult situations with more composure.

He further stated that the experience gave him a different perspective on life, adding that currently, he is focusing more on long-term goals.

“Becoming a parent at 21 taught me amazing lessons that I appreciate to date. I learned how to control my emotions, deal with stress, and handle difficult situations with more composure.

“It gave me a different perspective on life; I gained a new perspective on what truly matters, often focusing more on long-term goals and survival,” he posted on Instagram.

Terence’s childhood

Celebrating his late grandmother’s birthday, Terence showered her with praise for raising him after the d***h of his parents without giving up or making him feel worthless.

“Although I am an orphan, I really appreciate what my parents do, and more so my grandma, who never gave up on me or made me feel shy about myself; btw, today is her birthday; she would be 83. Continue resting in power queen: ‘Sekeret’,” Terence disclosed.

At the age of 22, the funny man wrote his first book dubbed ‘Hope Abounds’.

“Slide two is my first book I wrote at 22; it was called “Hope Abounds” sijui ilienda wapi, and slide 3 is a tbt of my lovely grandma. Anyway, guys, pia msisahau kutumia contraceptives ndio mkuwe wazazi mkiwa ready for parenthood.”

Terence and Milly Chebby

On October 21, 2023, Terence and his wife Milly Chebby officiated their union with a colourful traditional wedding ceremony after being together for over 10 years.

The wedding, which was held at Mosoriot Nandi County, saw their family members, close friends, and several celebrities gracing the event.

The couple held their dowry negotiations in 2017, and they are blessed with one child.
