Primary Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be engaged in the Ng’arisha Mtaa Programme, which is focused on improving cleanliness standards in residential and commercial areas throughout Machakos County.

The key responsibility will be participating in organized clean-up activities targeting solid waste management. This program is designed to ensure the proper collection, disposal, and management of waste while raising community awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

As part of your duties, you will work alongside community leaders and environmental experts to:

  • Collect and manage solid waste in designated areas.
  • Sweep streets, sidewalks, and public spaces.
  • Sort recyclable materials and ensure proper waste segregation.
  • Dispose of waste at designated collection points.
  • Participate in community education on environmental best practices.
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of public facilities, parks, and markets.

Eligibility Criteria:
