A group of female Trump supporters say they believe a “civil war” will break out if Donald Trump does not win the 2024 presidential election.

In a series of remarkable interviews in an excerpt shown on CNNreporter Donie O’Sullivan spoke to supporters of the former president, who also told him they believe the US is “not a democracy.”

‘We used to have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, we used to have that too, now they bully the Christians and the Jewish people. I mean, how much more can we take?’ the unknown woman began.

“If Trump loses, are you worried that there will be another January 6?” O’Sullivan asks.

‘No. I think a civil war will break out. That’s what I think is going to happen,” the woman responds.

“Honestly, I don’t think he lost the last election,” said another woman outside a Trump rally.

When asked what she thought would happen if Trump did not secure victory, her prediction was ominous.

‘Were done. We’re in trouble. We are in big trouble. Biden is talking about democracy, you know, about saving democracy, but they’re the ones killing democracy,” she responded.

Donald Trump used his 78th birthday party on Friday to promise deeper tax cuts if he wins the November 5 election and to make vague predictions about future terrorist attacks on US soil following the arrest of Tajik nationals with suspected ties to ISIS.

Speaking to thousands of supporters at a convention center in West Palm Beach, Florida, the Republican nominee pledged to further reduce the corporate tax rate he cut during his presidency, while also offering tax relief to the middle class.

Trump, who is locked in a close rematch race with Biden, gave no details.

Trump stood next to a towering cake topped with a “MAGA” hat, marking his “Make America Great Again” slogan, and addressed a raucous crowd of supporters, many wearing red, white and blue.

The event was organized by a group of supporters called Club 47 USA, whose name is a nod to their hopes for him to become the 47th president.

Age and mental acuity have been central to the battle between Trump and Biden, often receiving more attention than substantive policy issues.

Polls show that Americans are more concerned about Biden’s old age, which is 81.

But at 78, Trump is only three and a half years younger and would be the oldest person ever inaugurated if he wins a second term.

While he did not explicitly challenge Biden’s age, Trump again sought to portray his Democratic rival, who sometimes makes verbal mistakes and has a slower gait, as physically weak and mentally unfit to occupy the Oval Office.

Trump called Biden and his administration “grossly incompetent” and “probably the dumbest leadership in the world” and said that “all presidents should have to undergo aptitude tests,” before referring to a cognitive test he said he took during his time in office.

Biden has responded to questions about his age by telling voters to focus on his achievements in office as evidence of his acumen and strength.

He has described Trump as a threat to democracy following his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, criticizing his sometimes rambling speeches, as well as his use of inflammatory rhetoric against immigrants.

“Happy 78th birthday, Donald. Take it from one old man to another: age is just a number,” Biden posted on social media platform X along with a video contrasting his actions with those of Trump. “However, this election is a choice.”

It is unclear to what extent age will be a factor in the final outcome. Among the issues voters will consider is the strength of the economy, which is generally performing well but has been plagued by inflation, as well as immigration and abortion rights.

The first televised debate on June 27 will be a key test for both Biden and Trump, with voters looking for verbal miscues as a possible indicator that they may not be up to the task of leading the country.
