According to reports, The Block will lose one of its teams in the coming weeks as the reality show threatens to tear apart an unhappy couple.
Blue Team’s Jesse Maguire and Paige Beechey have now been confirmed as the duo who will be breaking ground and leaving the grounds for good in week five.
An insider revealed Wednesday that the engaged couple, who are the youngest team this season, will leave the show to save their relationship, reports Yahoo Lifestyle.
“Jesse and Paige asked themselves an important question: Is the opportunity to make money worth risking their relationship?” a source told the publication.
‘Channel Nine gave them permission to leave the show after a number of heated arguments on their hot mics.
“It was a very difficult decision, but Jesse and Paige are both confident that Australia will welcome their decision.”
The Insider further reported that the arguments between Jesse, 29, and Paige, 27, became “pretty toxic” towards the end and tested the boundaries of their relationship.
The cracks were already visible last week when Blockhead Paige succumbed to the pressure of the first week and turned to architect Julian Brenchley.

However, the source also revealed that since leaving The Block, the engaged couple seem happier than ever and ‘get along really well’.
The lovebirds are getting married later this year and celebrated Jesse’s 30th birthday with a trip to Europe with their friends.
Ny Breaking Australia reported in April that Jesse and Paige would be replaced on the spot by sisters from New South Wales.
Maddy and Charlotte were reportedly given just 24 hours’ notice to accept The Block’s offer and complete the build Jesse and Paige had started.
