Police officers in Rongai Sub-County, Nakuru County, have nabbed 19-year-old Ezekiel Kwame Mwangi, a suspected serial k****r who has been under investigation for his reported role in a series of chilling m*****s in the area.
In a statement shared by the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mwangi is said to have kicked off his reign of terror on July 14, 2024, when he defiled and m******d five-year-old Alice Ayuma Blessing, before casually dumping her body in a maize plantation in the Mwangaza area.
“Police officers from Baraka Police Station in Rongai Sub-County, Nakuru County, have apprehended a suspected serial k****r, Ezekiel Kwame Mwangi, 19 who has been on the police radar for his alleged involvement in a series of b****l m*****s in the area,” the statement by DCI read in part.
But the suspect didn’t stop there. Just weeks later, on August 7, 2024, he reportedly struck again in Kalyet, brutally k*****g 34-year-old Mueni Mwalimu by giving her a f***l b**w to the h**d with a blunt object and following up with a s**b to the stomach.
“Mwangi is believed to be the mastermind behind several heinous c****s. On July 14, 2024, he allegedly defiled and m******d five-year-old Alice Ayuma Blessing, dumping her body in a maize plantation in the Mwangaza area. On August 7, 2024, in Kalyet, he is suspected of k*****g 34-year-old Mueni Mwalimu by striking her on the h**d with a blunt object and s******g her in the stomach,” the DCI stated.
The very next day, August 8, 2024, at Mustard Seed in Kiamunyi, along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway, he reportedly capped off his crime spree by raping and murdering 28-year-old Moraa Mugambi using a rungu to the h**d.
“The following day, on August 8, 2024, at Mustard Seed in Kiamunyi, along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway, Mwangi allegedly r***d and m******d 28-year-old Moraa Mugambi by hitting her on the h**d with a rungu. The suspect is currently being held at Menengai Police Station undergoing processing pending arraignment,” the statement read further.
