Aussie model who went viral for listing 118 reasons not to have kids now under fire for using ’15-year-old throwback photo’ in promo

Ellie Gonsalves went viral early last year after she shared a list of 118 reasons on social media why she doesn’t want children.

But now the 34-year-old Australian actress and model is causing a stir online for a very different reason.

The influencer recently promoted a weight loss program on Instagram, but in the photos, Ellie appeared to use a 15-year-old photo as the “before” photo.

Instagram account Influencer Updates made the connection on Monday by sharing a screenshot of Ellie’s post.

The post first saw her in red lingerie and then in a skimpy swimsuit, showing her progress.

In the caption, Influencer Updates wrote: ‘Ellie Gonsalves used a photo of herself at 19 (now 34) as her ‘before’ photo for her e-book.’

This comes after Ellie recently shared a series of troll comments she received through her Instagram DMs, listing 118 reasons why she doesn’t want kids.

She posted a screenshot of a message she received on Instagram Stories, which read: “You will probably die alone too, with no one by your side.”

Ellie replied, “What’s to stop you from dying alone? Lol having children is no insurance against loneliness. Find some friends, for Christ’s sake.”

The Australian model sent her followers into a frenzy after she recently posted the list on social media.

Some of the reasons she cited were hair loss after giving birth, the fact that the baby can poop inside you, that your vagina looks different, that your house is never tidy, that giving birth can lead to rectal prolapse, and that you miss out on doing things you enjoy.

‘W“While some of the things on my list are satirical, many of them are serious and factual. Societal pressure when it comes to this topic is really questionable and I believe it is unfair to people with different opinions,” she said of the list.

“We rarely hear an expression of support for this because let’s face it, the public backlash can be too great,” the influencer added.

Ellie married her long-term partner, entrepreneur Ross Scutts, in two lavish ceremonies in March.

The official wedding took place at the floating beach club La Luna on the Gold Coast, an intimate toi et moi wedding.

This was followed by a second lavish gathering, to which they invited their bridal party and other guests.

The couple, who have been together for 15 years, have openly stated that they do not want children.
