Controversial X blogger Maverick Aoko is under arrest for allegedly publishing explosive information about top government officials on her social media.
But if you thought that was the most interesting part of her story, think again. Aoko has built her reputation on jaw-dropping revelations about her sexcapades with some of Kenya’s most prominent political figures—revelations that have stirred up everything from marriages to ministerial offices.
The David Osiany Debacle
Aoko first made waves an year ago when she nearly wrecked the marriage of Kenyan politician and former CAS in the Trade Ministry David Osiany.
With her signature bluntness, Aoko recounted their torrid affair. She described how the “peacock-mannered” Osiany would overwhelm her with electrifying pleasure and breathtaking cunnilingus that “made her cry” and left her “gasping for air.”
Aoko, who claimed to have been in a relationship with Osiany, alleged that he would “park his Ksh 30 million car outside her Ksh 10,000 bedsitter in Kawangware, Coast area,” money she claimed was “stolen from taxpayers’ money.”
This allegation prompted a fierce response from the former CAS, who is married to radio personality Syombua Osiany whom they share two children.
Osiany threatened legal action against Aoko.
“Your two minutes of fame is up! Time to make you pay for this silliness in the name of clout-chasing. I am going to ensure this is the last you do. And am not bluffing,” Osiany declared.
Aoko, however, was unfazed by the threat. She dared Osiany to follow through with his legal action, she boldly stated, “Wait for ANYONE including Osiany to sue me. Then unfollow me. Disregard me.”
She rebutted, “Guy does not know I recorded every online sex we had when he was teaching me to rub myself. Tell him I have said he can go to Hague, I shall do the needful.”
She went further, issuing a set of demands to Osiany, suggesting that they sit down and resolve the matter amicably.
“David Osiany has only two options: 1 – sit me down and talk to me over a hodgepodge of things. A woman scorned is lethal,” she warned.
While it is not clear whether the two had a final clandestine meeting to air out their issues, Aoko has ceased fire on this front.
The scandal was so intense that Osiany had to take drastic measures, whisking his wife off to Zanzibar in an extravagant apology bid to salvage their marriage.
Maverick Aoko and John Mbadi Drama
As if that was not enough, Aoko also exposed her relationship with the current Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi. In a TikTok video, she alleged that she was involved with Mbadi back when he was a nominated MP.
Aoko revealed that her involvement with Mbadi began on a professional note.
She claimed that he hired her in 2020 to manage his social media accounts back when she was with Standard Media Group in Migori.
“So he enlisted me to manage his social media. Do you know that it is me, Aoko, who created Mbadi’s Twitter account? Mbadi did not even know what a Twitter account was,” she quipped.
The deal was supposedly for Ksh 20,000, a sum Aoko described as meager given the services she provided—both online and offline.
Aoko claimed she used to go collect her salary at Parliament, “without wearing any panties.”
“Mbadi never took the opportunity he had when he worked for Uhuru’s regime as the government had money,” she added, her voice tinged with bitterness.
“Instead, he exploited me, paying me less and sleeping with me in the process.”
But Aoko was not done.
“Every time I talk about Mbadi, people say I am a jealous ex,” she remarked.
She however said that she could not be jealous of Mbadi’s wife, Rhoda, because, “Number one, Mbadi’s wife, Rhoda, the one he lives with…what am I saying? Rhoda has not gotten children for Mbadi, she is a barren woman,”
Love her or hate her, you can’t ignore her. And as her legal battles continue, one thing is clear: Aoko isn’t done sharing her truth, no matter who it hurts.
