POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH SCIENTIST IN QUALITATIVE IMPACT EVALUATION (IE)

As a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Qualitative IE, the successful candidate will support all four thematic areas, working collaboratively with APHRC researchers.

The position will be based at the Center’s Head Office in Nairobi, Kenya; and may include some travels to conduct qualitative IE (IE) activities in other Anglophone and Francophone African countries.

POLICY AND ADVOCACY OFFICER

The APHRC seeks to recruit a Policy and Advocacy Officer to work on the two projects within the Policy Engagement and Communications (PEC) Program.

Qualitative and Quantitative Field Interviewers – South Africa

APHRC invites applications for Qualitative and Quantitative Field Interviewers in its Teacher Professional Development (TPD) study.

The study will be conducted in the North-West province of South Africa and the contract will be for at least 10 days between August and October 2024.

The aim of this research is to evaluate successful aspects of an effective teaching practise program for TPD, encompassing its development, implementation, impact on instructional decision-making within the classroom, individual behaviour influences, strategies for uptake and scaling, key challenges, and teacher perspectives.

Data collection methods will entail conducting interviews with key TPD informants and teacher trainees, including classroom observations and document analysis, at North-West University.
