Cleveland Browns rookie Mike Hall Jr. was arrested Tuesday and charged with domestic violence.
Hall was booked and summoned to Avon Lake Municipal Court, a police spokesman said. Hall is expected to post bail and be released.
The Browns said in a statement that they were aware of the incident involving Hall, a second-round pick from Ohio State.
“Mike and his representatives have been in contact with the appropriate authorities,” the team said. “We are in the process of gathering more information and will not be commenting further at this time.”
A detailed incident report obtained by the Associated Press shows that officers responded to a report around 10 p.m. Monday from a woman, believed to be the player’s girlfriend, who claimed Hall had pushed and hit her daughter with a baby bottle.
According to the incident report, the woman said Hall, 21, threw her belongings outside and dragged her across a porch and driveway. At one point, the woman said Hall pointed a gun at her temple and said, “I’m going to … end this.”
The woman did not seek medical attention.
According to the report, Hall locked the woman outside and left in a pickup truck.
Police said they found evidence including a damaged door frame and a hole in a door that the woman said Hall punched. Officers also seized two handguns.
