Graduate Assistants (Part-time)
The purpose of this position is to carry out teaching roles, student mentoring, research and other duties in liaison with the university’s overall goal.

b. Hospitality & Tourism – Ref: (ZU/10/Adv/26/2024)
c. Kiswahili- Ref: (ZU/10/Adv/27/2024)
Duties and Responsibilities
● Teaching at Diploma and Certificate level, in areas allocated by the Head of Department and reviewed from time to time by the Head of Department.
● Student mentorship
● Supervising or assisting with the supervision of any research studies, attachment and teaching practice undertaken by the students.
● Participating in the development, administration and marking of examinations and other assessments
● Handling students’ grievances that relate to their learning needs.
● Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description
Minimum Qualifications
Electrical and Electronics Engineering
● A Bachelor of education Technology (Electrical and Electronics) or Bachelors of Science degree in (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) qualification from a recognized/accredited university or in a related field;
● MUST also be able to handle Engineering drawing and Engineering Mathematics units
● Enrollment for a Master’s program will be an added advantage;
● At least (2) years’ post qualification teaching experience;
● Membership of a relevant professional organisation.
Minimum Qualifications
Hospitality & Tourism
● A Bachelor’s degree in hotels and hospitality management/ Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management qualification from a recognized/accredited University in the relevant field;
● A Diploma in food and Beverage management or Catering and Accommodation
● Registration for a Master’s degree/ongoing will be an added advantage;
● At least two (2) years of post-qualification teaching experience;
● Demonstrated potential for university teaching and research;
● Commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
Minimum Qualifications
Kiswahili
● A Bachelor’s Education Arts- Kiswahili qualification from a recognized/accredited University in the relevant field;
● Registration for a Master’s degree/ongoing will be an added advantage;
● At least two (2) years of post-qualification teaching experience;
● Demonstrated potential for university teaching and research;
● Commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
