Iconic Australian children’s group The Wiggles have announced an unlikely collaboration with K-pop group IVE.

The creators of Hot Potato shared a photo and a short clip on Instagram featuring the girl group during IVE’s recent tour in Australia.

The photo shows three members of The Wiggles, Teshay Hawkins, John Pearce and Lucia Field, posing with the band.

The members of IVE – Yujin, Gaeul, Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo – stood behind the trio, proudly holding their own official Wiggles underwear, which they had received from the group.

The short clip showed the Korean pop stars accepting the colorful underwear with a hearty “thank you.”

In the caption of the clip, The Wiggles already hinted at a future collaboration with the makers of After Like.

“Our next single is going to surprise everyone,” they wrote.

Fans responded en masse to this comment. One person asked: ‘When is the IVE X Wiggles collab coming?’

Others were quick to point out the unlikely combination: “This is the wildest crossover I’ve ever seen.”

Another fan joined in the conversation: “This is the most random crossover I could ever imagine.”

Tsehay Hawkins, the youngest cast member of The Wiggles, recently expressed that she’s proud to challenge gender stereotypes with her costume choices.

The current Yellow Wiggle, 18, is the first female cast member to wear pants instead of a skirt on stage.

Speaking with Yahoo LifestyleShe said she thought the opportunity to challenge stereotypes with her costume choice was “cool.”

“I think wearing trousers means that girls and boys can relate to it too. Boys can also wear skirts if they want to – we definitely have boys who come to the shows in skirts, which is lovely too,” she told the publication.

“But I think it’s cool to see little ones wearing baggy pants. It breaks the stereotype that little girls always have to wear dresses or skirts.”

Tsehay added that breaking stereotypes wasn’t her first priority when choosing her clothing style, admitting that she was more of a “pants girl.”

“I don’t think that really played a role in me deciding to wear it, but once I did, I realized what an impact it had,” she said.
