Gypsy Rose Blanchard reveals sex of her baby alongside boyfriend Ken Urker… eight months after her prison release: ‘We’re over the moon’

Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her boyfriend Ken Urker become parents of a girl.

The 32-year-old victim of Munchausen’s murder by proxy, who recently responded to rumors that Ken is not the father of her baby, took a stand against her Instagram on Saturday to share a video of an adorable reveal party.

The clip captured the couple standing next to a balloon, which they popped to reveal an explosion of pink confetti. They then looked at the camera and shared a heartfelt message to their unborn daughter.

“Honey, I’m your mother,” Gypsy cried, and Ken joined in, “I’m your father.” They ended the conversation together: “It’s a girl!”

Gypsy wrote in the caption, “The moment you’ve all been waiting for… It’s a girl! Ken and I are so excited and excited to start our family. We are so thankful for our friends, neighbors, and families who came out to our party today! We also want to thank you all for your love and support!”

The reveal comes nearly a month after Gypsy and Ken announced the big news of their pregnancy on her YouTube channel.

“I’m 11 weeks pregnant,” she said in the video. “Ken and I are expecting our very first child in January 2025.”

“We’re both very excited. This wasn’t planned at all, it was totally unexpected.”

Blanchard announced her split from husband Ryan Scott Anderson in March and said she was back together with Ken Urker, 31, the following month.

Gypsy was released from Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri in December 2023, after serving the mandatory seven years of her 10-year sentence for plotting the murder of her mother, Dee Dee.

Before her release in December, Gypsy told People that she planned to marry Ryan, a special education teacher in Louisiana, for the second time once she was a free woman.

“We’re planning on having a reception/rehearsal of the wedding with all of our family and friends and the dress and the cake and everything, because we deserve it. I deserve it. He deserves it,” she said.

“Our prison wedding was just something where we could exchange our vows. It was something that meant something to us. And I think the party is really for everyone and for us, but mostly for everyone.”

Blanchard was moved to tears as she said she wants to give her child “everything she ever wanted to have when she was little.”

She also said she suffers from ‘crazy mood swings’.

Blanchard and her estranged husband Anderson married while she was in prison, but their relationship ended just weeks after her release.

Anderson told DailyMail.com that he was surprised by Blanchard’s request for a divorce and that he blamed her relationship with Urker.

“I’m not doing well. For me it just came out of nowhere,” he said.

“I had no idea she still had such strong feelings for him,” he added, referring to Blanchard’s ex-fiancée Urker.

Initially, after her divorce from Anderson, Blanchard insisted that Urker was just a friend and that there was “no intimacy.”

While incarcerated, Gypsy built a relationship with Urker, who in 2019 entered into a dialogue with the then-inmate through a “letter of support” he wrote after watching the HBO documentary Mommy Dead And Dearest.

They subsequently became pen pals, which led to a romantic relationship. The two were even briefly engaged before the relationship fizzled out.

In 2020, Blanchard found a second romantic prospect in Anderson, who, like Ken, wrote her letters while she was in prison.

The two married privately in prison in 2022, before separating in March.

Blanchard’s traumatic childhood and early adulthood have provided the basis for documentaries, films, books, and countless articles in magazines, newspapers, and online.

In one of the most famous cases of Munchausen by proxy, Blanchard pretended to be an invalid in a wheelchair while Dee Dee subjected her to years of ill health. She shaved her head, gave her unnecessary medication, and convinced the world she had leukemia and muscular dystrophy.

Blanchard’s mother’s power ended in 2015 when she convinced her boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, whom she met online, to sneak into their Springfield, Missouri, home and stab her mother to death.
