Aldi Australia’s best new products of 2024 have been revealed ahead of the annual People’s Picks Awards. It’s all about budget dinners and healthy desserts.
The popular bargains fall into the ‘Best Newcomer’ category and highlight the latest additions to the budget supermarket.
As Australians continue to struggle with the cost of living, households have come up with creative and low-cost ways to feed their families.
Australian shoppers can’t get enough of ‘fakeaway’ meals. A meal kit including butter chicken ($3.99), Angus beef thin crust pizza ($5.99) and fish fillets ($6.99) all top the list.
Aldi’s meal kits used to fly out the door after every restock. The Pad Thai with chicken has even acquired a true cult status online.
Other popular new products include canned beans ($1.19), sugar-free passion fruit energy drinks ($3.99), beef broth ($4.99), chicken broth ($4.99) and truffle olive oil potato chips ($3.49).
Desserts are also a customer favorite, with thousands of people across the country snapping up Aldi’s new Yogurt Chocolate Honeycomb Fudge ($2.69) and Yogurt Cookies with Cream ($2.69).
The low price ensures that customers return to the supermarket chain again and again. A carton of yoghurt starts at 69 cents.

Customers can vote for their favourite Aldi products until 21 August, choosing from a shortlist of 80 products, divided into eight categories.
According to Kylie Warnke, retail expert at Aldi Australia, the shortlist is an excellent way for shoppers to get the most out of their grocery experience.
‘We love seeing classic products like the Greek Spinach & Cheese Spanakopita and The Best Margarita Pizza Ever as finalists each year, but we also applaud new products making their debut, like the Kapiti Passionfruit and Kamahi Honey Ice Cream and the Café Series Salt & Pepper Tempura Barramundi.’
