Travis Kelce is still adjusting to his new level of fame after his first relationship with Taylor Swift, with one fan telling him his wife “almost died” after meeting him.
In a clip posted to TikTok on Sunday, Kelce, 34, was seen walking up to a group of fans in workout gear and asking them, “What are you doing in my hallway?” with one of them saying, “Y’all took my wife’s breath away, she almost died.”
Kelce was unfazed by the unexpected comment and immediately came up with a witty response. He told the fan that his wife had experienced the “Taylor Swift effect” when she first saw him, prompting laughter from the group.
Earlier in August, Kelce revealed how much he “hates” being away from Swift as the couple grapples with the difficulties of a long-distance relationship while also juggling their commitments: the NFL preseason and the demands of a tour.

Kelce and Swift’s new (and temporary) relationship dynamic comes more than a year after the three-time Super Bowl winner attended one of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts at Arrowhead Stadium and publicly revealed that he wanted to give her his number.
On July 26, 2023, Kelce explained on an episode of the New Heights podcast that he wanted to give the singer a friendship bracelet.
“I found it disappointing that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings,” the tight end said at the time.
When his co-host, brother Jason, tried to clarify whether he was referring to his phone number or jersey number, Travis replied, “You know which one.”
Kelce’s fame reached new heights when he first asked Swift out last summer
Swift later admitted that they had secretly dated a few times before officially launching their relationship during a Chiefs-Bears game last September.
