During Bishop Allan Kiuna’s funeral on July 17, 2024, his daughter Stephanie Kiuna was noticeably absent.
While her siblings, Jeremy and Vanessa, attended and shared heartfelt tributes, Stephanie, who lives in Australia, did nOt travel to Kenya or speak out about her absence. This led many to wonder if there was tension between her and her late father.
In a YouTube video shared later, Stephanie explained why she couldn’t attend. She said there was no way she would have missed the funeral if it were up to her.
“There’s nowhere on earth I would have rather been than at my dad’s funeral,” she said.
She also cleared up any rumors, saying “Did we have beef? No, never,”
Why did Stephanie Kiuna Miss her dad’s Funeral?
Stephanie revealed that the real reason she missed the funeral was because of visa issues.
Despite her best efforts to work out the details, she couldn’t make it in time.
“We did everything we could,” she said. “But it was hard. There was nothing I could do.”
In her video, Stephanie also spoke about how much she misses her dad and the pain she feels now that he’s gone.
She shared that the last time she saw him was at Christmas, and with the holidays coming up, the grief feels even stronger.
“I miss him… It’s hard when you want to talk, and he’s not there,” she said.
Despite the sadness, Stephanie said her father’s passing has pushed her to keep moving forward.
“He always told me to be the best version of myself,” she shared. “I’m trying to make him proud.”
She is determined to continue working hard to honor his memory.
