ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
This role will be based in Mombasa, under the close supervision of a Senior Storekeeper.
THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities:
- Support receipt/dispatch and verification of commodities
- Ensure quality warehouse operations and mitigate losses
- Support best storage management practices in compliance with WFP guidelines
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare and issue offloading work orders
- Confirm receipt documents and capture receipts in the LESS system
- Reconcile received stocks against physical stocks
- Check stock condition and issue loading orders
- Strip containers and capture data in the system
- Record excesses, losses, and damages
- Issue waybills for loaded trucks/containers
- Participate in physical inventory count and reconciliations
- Report on unfit stocks for disposal actions
- Perform warehouse inspections
- Supervise third-party warehouse staff and vendors
- Ensure proper filing of food movement documents
- Monitor stock expiry and report for action
- Issue required warehouse reports
- Prepare Daily Operations Report
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Successful completion of secondary school education
- Training in stores management or related course is desirable
Experience:
- Three or more years of relevant work experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in logistics operations, warehouse management, inventory management, data entry, and report extraction
Language:
- Fluency in spoken and written English
