Rapper Lil Baby just turned a late-night club appearance into viral chaos after snatching a $200,000 diamond chain from YouTuber and streamer Jack Doherty.
The moment, captured in a 50-second video that’s already racked up over millions of views on X, shows Doherty seriously distressed, chasing after Lil Baby while pleading, “Bro, I need my chain, bro!”
Meanwhile, Lil Baby, appearing cool and unbothered, flashes a grin, hops in his car with the bling, and drives off.
Before driving off, Lil Baby taunts Doherty by telling him to “call the police”.
“Alright bro it’s on camera,” Jack responds. “Like what, he thinks he can take my chain and get away with it, that’s hilarious.”
Was it real?
The clip quickly spread on social media, with viewers debating whether the incident is real or a carefully staged stunt. Doherty, 21, is no stranger to viral controversy. Just this past April, he claimed he lost $300,000 in jewelry during a robbery on Rodeo Drive.
Then, in early May, Lil Baby was seen in a video offering to replace one of Doherty’s chains during a friendly run-in on the street. Back in 2024, Doherty reportedly paid Lil Baby $200k to perform at his birthday party.
That bit of history has some thinking this chain ‘snatch-and-grab’ might be part of a running joke, or a planned collaboration poking fun at Doherty’s notoriety for attracting drama.
“Lil Baby out here doing skits now lol,” one user joked on X.
Others wondered why Doherty’s security didn’t intervene, saying they would have taken it right back, if it wasn’t a setup.
At the time of writing, there’s been no word from either Lil Baby or Doherty, and no police reports have been filed.
