Police and local administrative officers in Pathum Thani have made a significant arrest involving a major meth dealer in the Khlong Luang area. Officials discovered a stash of drugs and firearms in an abandoned car, leading to the apprehension of two suspects.

The operation was spearheaded by Amornritpol Khiaorungphet, the deputy district chief of Khlong Luang, and Nuttanan Nimmnuan, the deputy district chief of Thanyaburi.

The team conducted a thorough search of a blue Chevrolet sedan parked along Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok 12 Road in Prachathipat, Thanyaburi district. This search followed the arrest of a drug dealer, which subsequently led to the discovery of additional contraband.

Inside the vehicle, 11,200 methamphetamine tablets, as well as 10.4 grammes of crystal meth were found. The officers also seized two 9mm firearms and a total of 58 rounds of ammunition—eight of 9mm calibre and 50 of .38 calibre.

Amornritpol explained that the arrest was a result of a public complaint lodged with the Khlong Luang district’s Damrongtham Centre. Residents had reported suspicious activities at a house in Moo 5, along Khlong Song Road, where teenagers were allegedly using drugs.

Following the tip-off, local administrative officials, along with the Thung Luang Task Force, raided the location and apprehended two individuals. Among them was 52 year old Phiphop. Officers seized 71 meth tablets and 6.8 grammes of crystal meth. This arrest led to a further search of a vehicle used for drug concealment, where the larger haul was uncovered.

During the investigation, Phiphop confessed to procuring drugs in batches of 10,000 tablets at a price ranging from 13,000 to 15,000 baht. The supplier would leave the drugs by the roadside at predetermined locations for collection.

Phiphop then resold them at prices between 15,000 and 18,000 baht, catering to both small-scale dealers and regular customers. He admitted to having served two prison terms previously and had been out for several years, during which he had taken up a profession as an amulet trader, reported KhaoSod.
