A staggering number of American voters believe Vice President Kamala Harris was at least partly involved in covering up the extent of President Joe Biden’s mental decline.
Biden, 81, ended his re-election campaign over the weekend amid a flood of calls for him to step down following a disastrous debate performance and weeks of mistakes and missteps that he couldn’t recover from.
Harris immediately stepped in as his replacement, taking over Biden’s campaign. Two days later, the VP earned enough delegates to become the Democrat’s presumptive nominee in 2024.
But as many as 92 percent of registered voters in a new YouGov/Times of London poll say Harris was behind efforts to cover up Biden’s failing cognitive fitness and physical well-being, while his staff continued to insist to the press and public that the president was fit for a second term.
The poll of 1,170 voters, conducted July 22-23, asked whether they believed there was an effort to protect Biden’s mental health from the public and who was responsible for the cover-up.

Fifty-four percent of respondents said there was a cover-up, and 30 percent said they don’t believe there was. Sixteen percent aren’t sure.
The change in the 2024 election has many wondering whether there was a conspiracy to keep Biden’s cognitive health a secret and who orchestrated the plot to keep his declining health a secret.
Of those who do believe there was a cover-up, an overwhelming 68 percent think Biden’s No. 2 was “very” involved in hiding his true eligibility. Seven percent said Harris was “somewhat” blamed, while 17 percent think she was “somewhat” responsible.
And only a mere four percent of respondents think Harris was not involved at all.

However, Americans believe that Biden’s family is the main culprit for keeping his declining mental and physical health secret from the public.
In total, 96 percent of registered voters believe there was a cover-up, and they blame the president’s family, including First Lady Jill Biden.
Eighty-eight percent blame news and media outlets, and a total of 92 percent say Democrats in Congress were also involved in keeping Biden’s fitness secret.
