Reporting to the Chapter Lead – Experiences, the Executive – Experiences will be responsible for designing and executing captivating brand experiences that resonate with Safaricom’s key customer segments. This role involves developing innovative activations, events, and campaigns to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and foster loyalty. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of brand strategy, experiential marketing, and emerging trends in event technologies.


Key Responsibilities

Brand Building

  • Assist in crafting and executing Safaricom’s brand experience strategy to boost visibility and customer engagement.
  • Conceptualize, plan, and manage various brand experiences, including events, activations, sponsorships, and digital engagements.
  • Oversee logistics such as resourcing, budgeting, collateral creation, and post-event analysis.

Partnership and Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams, agencies, and external partners to deliver seamless brand experiences.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with vendors, agencies, and other partners to ensure top-quality execution.

Marketing Effectiveness

  • Drive engagement approaches with a focus on achieving critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor the success of brand experiences and campaigns, providing regular performance reports.
  • Recommend actionable improvements based on insights from trends in experiential marketing, event technology, and consumer behavior.

Actionable Insights

  • Use data analysis and research techniques to identify priority customer segments, values, attitudes, and lifestyles.
  • Leverage insights to create opportunities that drive value and engagement in target customer segments.

Building an Admired Brand

  • Create a brand that connects emotionally and rationally with current and future customers.
  • Measure and improve brand equity across customer segments.

Innovative Propositions

  • Refine propositions to maximize customer acquisition, retention, and advocacy throughout the product and service lifecycle.
  • Develop simple and effective propositions aligned with marketing processes and techniques.

Integrated Communications

  • Design impactful integrated communications delivered across a mix of channels to promote products and safeguard the brand’s reputation.
  • Use effective systems and practices to maximize customer value, loyalty, and advocacy.

Market Execution

  • Execute propositions using appropriate marketing channels.
  • Design and deliver a differentiated customer experience that reflects Safaricom’s brand values at every touchpoint.

Qualifications

Educational and Professional Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in event management or a similar role.
  • Strong creativity and the ability to think strategically and execute flawlessly.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work long hours when necessary.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage the people and business aspects of change to drive performance.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
