The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has notified motorists and other road users of a planned disruption at Haile Selassie Roundabout on Uhuru Highway for 51 days.
The temporary disruption of traffic flow will commence from Thursday, November 28, 2024, to Friday, January 17, 2025.
In a notice on Saturday, November 23, 2024, KeNHA announced that the disruption is necessary to facilitate the construction of a pedestrian underpass at the busy intersection.
“This is due to scheduled road works for the construction of the Pedestrian Underpass at the section which commence from Thursday, November 28, 2024, to Friday, January 17, 2025,” KeNHA said.
The road agency urged users to follow the proposed traffic management plan, observe road signs, and cooperate with police and traffic marshals on-site to ensure safety and smooth operations.
“KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan, project road signs and co-operate with police and traffic marshals on site.”
