1. DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, ECONOMIC PLANNING AND ICT

i) INTERNAL AUDITOR III JOB GROUP ‘H’ (CPSB 11), ONE (1) POST

Terms of Service : Permanent and Pensionable

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  1. i. Be in possession of CPA Part I OR Diploma in Internal Auditing or CIA Part II from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. i. Verifying periodical financial returns that are required to be submitted from time to time such as pending bills returns, expenditure returns, imprest returns and Appropriation – In -Aid Returns, staff returns and vehicles returns etc.
  2. ii. Ensuring that Government Physical Assets, plant and equipment supplies, stores, e.t.c are appropriately recorded in the relevant register and are kept under safe custody;
  3. iii. Ensuring that revenue, Appropriate-In-Aid(A-I-A) and other receipts due to the government are collected promptly, banked immediately and accounted for and where revenue collectable is not fixed ensure that pre-audit of the relevant documents is carried out.

ii) ECONOMIST II/STATISTICIAN II JOB GROUP ‘K’ (CPSB 9) TWO (2) POST

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  1. i. Experience of at least two (2) years as an Economist/ Statistician;
  2. ii. A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Economic Development, Economic Planning, Statistics or any other relevant qualification from a recognized Institution;
  3. iii. A minimum of an Upper Second-Class Honors Degree in Statistics with appropriate specialization from a recognized Institution; and

Duties and Responsibilities

Formulation of economic and statistical policies

  1. i. Formulation of development strategies;
  2. ii. Identification, preparation and evaluation of development projects and programmes and monitoring of their implementation;
  3. iii. Conducting feasibility studies, determining project viability and setting project priorities;
  4. iv. Collection, collation and analysis of data relating to production and marketing of agricultural/ industrial products;
  5. v. Compiling reports on specific assignments;
  6. vi. Drawing up survey questions and setting up control procedures for receiving returns and taking the necessary actions; and

iii) INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT III JOB GROUP ‘H’ (CPSB 11) ONE (1) P0ST

Duties and Responsibilities

This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre. Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

(i) Providing first level support to end user devices;(ii) Carrying out routine checks of ICT equipment;

(iii) Maintaining cleanliness of ICT equipment; and

(iv) Reporting any faults for further action.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • (i) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C- or its approved equivalent;

 For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. i. Implement supply chain policies for the County;

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. i. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the revenue accounting team.
  2. ii. Support the accurate recording of revenue transactions in compliance with the county policies.
  3. iii. Assist in reviewing contracts and agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition.
  4. iv. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue-related issues.
  5. v. Assist in monitoring key revenue metrics and preparing analysis for management.
  6. vi. Support revenue forecasting and budgeting processes.
  7. vii. Assist with internal and external audit requests related to revenue.
  8. viii. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements for Appointment

  1. i. Diploma in accounting, finance, Business Management or related field. CPA or relevant certification preferred.
  2. ii. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in revenue accounting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  3. iii. Strong understanding of revenue collection principles 
  4. iv. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex revenue transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. i. Provide administrative support to the revenue accounting team, including data entry, filing, and document management.
  2. ii. Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of revenue transactions.
  3. iii. Support the preparation of invoices, receipts, and other revenue-related documents.
  4. iv. Assist in resolving customer inquiries related to billing and revenue.
  5. v. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of revenue transactions.

  1. i. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the revenue accounting team.
  2. ii. Ensure accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions in accordance with county policies.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

  1. i. Undertaking meat inspection and enforcing slaughterhouse hygiene and meat transport regulation

  1. i. Inspect, maintain, repair and service of heavy and light plant machinery
  2. ii. Diagnosis of general faults in diesel/petrol engines

  1. i. Perform routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune ups

  1. i. Duties entail basic welding and maintenance of welding tools;
