Hip hop producer Metro Boomin hits out at rape accuser, claiming lawsuit is ‘a pure shakedown’

Grammy-nominated music producer Metro Boomin denied allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman after passing out drunk and getting her pregnant in 2016.

The rapper, whose legal name is Leland T. Wayne, 31, was named in a lawsuit filed by Vanessa LeMaistre, who is seeking damages for her mental anguish and anguish resulting from the incident.

LeMaistre said she passed out on a couch after consuming half of a Xanax tablet and a shot of liquor, then woke up in a bed while Metro Boomin “allegedly raped her and performed oral sex on her,” according to court papers documents on DailyMail.com.

An attorney for Metro Boomin, Lawrence Hinkle II, called the lawsuit “a pure shakedown” in a statement to Dailymail.com on Wednesday.

“These are false allegations,” the lawyer said. ‘Sir. Wayne refused to pay her months ago, and he refuses to pay her now. Mr. Wayne will defend himself in court. He will file a claim for malicious prosecution once he is victorious.”

LeMaistre said she met the rapper during a trip to Las Vegas in 2016, shortly after her nine-month-old son was tragically killed.

During the trip, Wayne invited her to visit his recording studio in California, where LeMaistre lived, according to court documents.

“She was happy to see him work because she was passionate about music, but more importantly because music provided an escape from the pain she felt after losing her son,” the lawsuit said.

“However, the encounter with Wayne was devastating, leaving Ms. LeMaistre to suffer the second worst thing that ever happened to her: being raped by someone who posed as her boyfriend for months.”

The lawsuit alleged that LeMaistre arrived at the studio one evening in September 2016, was given a shot of alcohol and swallowed half of a Xanax bar.

Her lawyers said LeMaistre had used Xanax to “get through difficult days and numb the pain” while she grieved her son.

“The next thing Ms. LeMaistre remembers is waking up on a bed in a different location with Wayne raping her and completely unable to move or make a sound. She was in and out of consciousness for an unknown amount of time, but at some point woke up when Wayne performed oral sex on her,” according to court documents.

She claimed she lost consciousness again and woke up in a hotel room with Wayne and had no idea how she got there.

“A few weeks after the assault, Ms. LeMaistre found out she was pregnant. She had not had sex with anyone else, so Ms. LeMaistre knew the pregnancy was the result of Wayne’s rape,” the lawsuit said.

LeMaistre said that given the recent death of her son, she decided to terminate her pregnancy and have an abortion in November 2016.

Court documents claim that a year later, Metro Boomin released a song titled Rap Saved Me – a 2017 collaboration between Metro Boomin, 21 Savage and Offset – that directly references the incident.

The specific lyrics quoted are: ‘She took a Xanny / Then she passed out / I’m from the gutter… can’t change.’

Metro Boomin was involved in a separate sex scandal earlier this year.

In May, his peripheral involvement in the Drake-Kendrick Lamar feud led some internet sleuths to pull up alleged old tweets that had not aged properly, XXL and HotNewHipHop reported at the time.

The tweets from the singer, born on September 16, 1993, were posted between 2011 and 2013, when he was between 17 and 19 years old. The alleged tweets he sent referred to sex with minors and the use of substances such as molly.

Metro Boomin said in a May 6 tweet that he later deleted: “I can’t be a pedophile at 15 n**** #NoPedo,” both outlets reported at the time.
