VIDEO: Peel Regional Police stopped thieves during home invasion as $1M in a safe nearly stolen in Brampton

In the trending video, Peel Regional Police, are seen chasing the thieves (two) who came to an Indian home to rob them. The thieves escaped, but the safe full of cash was saved, despite being opened.

In another news, Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau have arrested and charged a Brampton youth in relation to numerous phone thefts during buy-and-sell meet-ups.

During the months of September and October 2024, officers responded to multiple reports of thefts where unsuspecting victims arranged to meet with the suspect to sell their smartphones. The common method used by the suspect was Facebook Marketplace while representing himself with the alias of “David Paul”. READ MORE HERE

Once meeting with the victim(s), the suspect would ask to inspect the phone and then he would flee with it. In at least one of the reported incidents, the suspect brandished a knife making demands for the phones.  There were no reported physical injuries to any of the victim(s).
