2024 – A local banker died on the spot after his ill-fated car was involved
in an accident at Ruguruti, a notorious blackspot in Othaya.
Reports indicate that the deceased, who worked at a bank within Othaya town, lost
control of his speeding vehicle before it rolled several times and landed on a
maize plantation.
The car was completely written off following the fatal accident.
