The Competition Authority of Kenya (the Authority) is a statutory agency established under the Competition Act, CAP 504, tasked with promoting fair competition and safeguarding consumers from unfair and misleading practices. The Authority is currently seeking qualified, motivated professionals to join its team in the following roles:

Available Positions

1. Senior ICT Officer

  • Department: ICT

The Senior ICT Officer will oversee the Authority’s IT infrastructure, ensuring network security, system efficiency, and effective cybersecurity practices. This position supports digital transformation initiatives, including system upgrades and compliance with IT standards, which are essential for optimizing operations and supporting the Authority’s strategic goals.

2. ICT Officer

The ICT Officer will support daily ICT operations, including system maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with upgrades. Responsibilities involve providing user support, managing databases, and contributing to ICT projects, ensuring all departments have the digital tools necessary for smooth communication and effective workflow.

3. Assistant Knowledge Management Officer

The Assistant Knowledge Management Officer will assist in managing the Authority’s information resources, organizing data to support decision-making processes. 4. Young Professional Programme

The Young Professional Programme offers recent graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across different units within the Authority. Selected candidates will work in one of the following areas:

  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Evaluating and monitoring mergers to prevent anti-competitive practices.
  • Enforcement and Compliance: Investigating violations of competition law to maintain market fairness.
  • Consumer Protection: Ensuring products meet standards and addressing unfair trade practices.
  • Buyer Power: Addressing cases where dominant buyers exploit suppliers or consumers.
  • Legal Services: Providing legal guidance on the Authority’s operations.

Participants will gain valuable experience in competition regulation, with mentorship and training in each specialized area.
