Invitation for Applications: Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) Board Chairperson and Members
The County Government of Nyeri is inviting qualified individuals to apply for positions in the Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) Board. The EDF is a loan facility established under the County Enterprise Development Fund Act of 2017 (amended in 2018) to support small business owners within the county.
Available Positions
The EDF Board includes representatives from the following groups:
- Business Community Representative
- Must be a member of a registered business association within Nyeri County.
- Youth Representative
- Must be an active member of a registered youth group or association in the county.
- Cooperatives Representative
- Must be a member of a leading cooperative within Nyeri County.
- Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWD) Representative
- Must be registered with the National Council for Persons Living with Disabilities.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Kenyan citizen.
- Hold a diploma in a business-related field from a recognized institution in Kenya.
- Have operated a micro or small enterprise in Nyeri County for at least three (3) years.
- Satisfy the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (integrity and ethical standards).
