The Bachelorette’s Sasha Mielczarek finally sells his lavish Bowral home after failing to get an offer at auction and slashing the price by $300,000

Sasha Mielczarek has finally sold his luxury Bowral home after failing to receive any offers at auction and slashing the price.

The Bachelorette winner listed the four-bedroom home for $3.2 million in January. It was put up for auction the following month, but no bids were received.

In April, Sasha, 44, slashed the price of the property – located in Bowral, 116km from Sydney in the Southern Highlands – by $300,000 to $2.9 million.

Seven months after it first hit the market, Sasha has finally sold the home, known as Chester, for an undisclosed price of approximately $2.7 million, according to The Daily telegram.

Sasha bought the dilapidated 1890s cottage in 2020 with his mother Kym for $1.3 million and has completely renovated it, including a new roof and new windows.

Today, the luxurious three-bathroom home is a delightful blend of old-world charm with modern elegance and even features a separate, self-contained studio apartment.

The home features a carefully preserved Victorian-era facade and features wooden floors, high ceilings and a generous open-plan layout in the main living areas.

The beautiful master bedroom features sleek white furnishings, a walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom.

The impressive property also features a luxurious terrace, a historic-style veranda and a large backyard.

The studio space functions as a completely separate home, with both a bedroom and a self-contained kitchen, making it ideal for a dual living arrangement.

Sasha shared his renovation project on Instagram, posting before and after photos after he restored the dilapidated home to “its former glory” in 2022.

“Long awaited, but well worth the wait! Introducing “Chester”, located in Bowral in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales,” he wrote at the time.

‘The property was originally built in the late 1890s and my mother and I purchased it at the start of the pandemic with the aim of restoring it to its former glory.

‘Two years later and after a number of iterations in the design, this is the end result. We are extremely happy with it.’

After the renovation was completed, Sasha rented the property for $1,800 per week. Later, the price was reduced to $1,650 for a week’s stay.

According to a listing on Realestate.com.au, the property last sold for $840,000 in July 2010, before Sasha snapped it up a decade later.

It is the second home Sasha has in the area, after he said he had finally completed work on another property in NSW he bought four years ago.

The former reality star bought a plot of land in Bowral in June 2016 for an estimated $420,000 to build his dream home.

He had planned to move there with his then-girlfriend Sam Frost, whom he met on The Bachelorette in 2015, but he split from the Home and Away star in December 2016.

Sasha started dating his current wife Carly Cottam and the couple welcomed their daughter Stevie Marie in August last year.

Sasha announced his first relationship with Carly in December 2020, proposing during a romantic holiday in Queensland.

Sasha and then exchanged vows in July 2022 during an intimate ceremony in Italy, surrounded by their family and friends.
