Richard Simmons’ final photo REVEALED: Fitness guru’s staff unveils gray-haired portrait and heartfelt message that he planned to share with fans before shock death at 76 – as he’s laid to rest in LA amid police probe

The last photo of Richard Simmons was revealed by his staff. He wanted to share this photo with his fans before he passed away a week earlier, on July 13, at the age of 76.

The fitness guru was found dead in his LA home after falling in his bathroom the night before. A police investigation has been launched into his final hours and his cause of death has not yet been released to the public.

He was laid to rest this week and his grave was strewn with pink roses, as shown in exclusive photos obtained by DailyMail.com.

His team went to X on Saturday to share the final photo of Simmons, which showed the gray-haired star wearing an orange NASA uniform.

“From Richard’s team: Hi everyone, Richard has been working really hard on his posts for you,” they began.

“He had a lot of ideas and worked on them. He kept revisiting each idea and making changes until it was exactly what he wanted before he published it.”

His staff continued: ‘As you know, over the weekend he would just share a photo with a caption. He would always choose his photos and write his captions for the upcoming weekend on Friday.’

“So we have the post that Richard wanted to share with you last Sunday. We thought you might like to see it.”

In the final part of the message on X, the fitness guru’s team added: ‘Here’s the message Richard had scheduled for you for Sunday, July 14, 2024.’

Richard was seen posing with graying hair, dressed in a bright orange NASA uniform and standing in front of a colorful wall.

The caption he wanted to put on the photo was, “Let me fly you to the moon so we can look up at the stars. Love, Richard.”
