Another teen goes missing, family told by police they have to wait 24h
Thirteen-year-old Sarita Persaud, also called “Alyssa,” has gone missing after her father allegedly placed her into a mini bus today at around 14:00h. READ MORE HERE
According to Sarita relative her father Dinesh Persaud who resides at Bush Lot, First Dam claimed that he allegedly put the girl into a white minibus and sent her back home in Bath Settlement, after she paid him a visit. However, the child failed to return home.
“She father claimed he put her in a white bus, he don’t remember the bus number but he said a white bus and sent she (Sarita) home since 2 o’clock but upto now she nah come and we can’t find she,” the relative said.
A search was then launched by her mother and other family, but they came up empty-handed.
They then went to the Forth Wellington Police Station, where they filed a missing person report, but was reportedly told by cops they need to wait until 24 hours until the police can launch a search.
“We reported it to Forth Wellington, but police said we gah wait 24 hours till they can help search for her,” the relative further said.
